Manure management services have become an important issue for northwest Iowa livestock and grain producers. Since livestock farms are abundant in the territory, we offer something few cooperatives do: a manure management specialist to help producers comply with DNR regulations.
FCS offers manure management services with the goal of enabling each producer to stay compliant with the most recent laws. We also help producers understand the value of the manure their operations produce.
To accomplish those objectives, our primary tool is manure management plans and a complete understanding of changing rules and regulations. The new P-based plans are complex and FCS can help you follow the rules, while getting the most value from your manure.
- Whether it is a manure management plan update, or an update to the P-index, we will work with you.
- We will write or update your nutrient management plan for your NPDES permit.
- We offer assistance with comprehensive nutrient management plans. These plans are required for producers who are applying for EQUIP funds from the NRCS. These plans are written specifically for an individual operation.
- We offer manure sampling as well. This allows producers to better understand nutrient values of manure applied.
- We also provide a full range of grid-sampling from 2.5-acre grids to 10-acre grids.
