Soybean Cyst Nematode
The most accurate procedure for detecting soybean cyst nematode (SCN) is sampling by grid. Grid samples enable us to achieve SCN counts that represent the overall situation in a field and allowing the producer to clearly see areas of high infestation.

Knowing where SCN numbers are higher or lower may help a soybean grower know where to place specific soybean varieties that will maximize yields and manage the pest. Contact your local FCS agronomist to arrange SCN grid sampling.
