Small Dairy & Open Feedlot Manure Management Field Day

Directions:  3 miles west of Boyden on Hwy 18; 3 3/4 miles north on Jackson Ave.

Biosecurity procedures will be implemented.  Please wear street shoes.  Plastic boots will be provided.

Increasing attention is being focused on small to medium-sized dairies and open feedlots for regulatory compliance.  Recent state and federal inspections in Iowa have increased the awareness of manure-runoff issues and have led to actions against livestock producers to better manage manure.  The purpose of this field day is to provide information and technical assistance to small and medium-sized dairies and open feedlots in regards to manure management issues.
