FCS Response to COVID-19

FCS Response to COVID-19

We wanted to take a moment to update you on the latest information regarding our response to the COVID-19 situation across our state and region. As you all know, this is a very fluid situation and things are changing daily. At Farmers Coop Society, the health and well-being of our employees and our customers is our primary concern. With that in mind, last week we implemented some measures that were put in place to reduce the potential spread of the coronavirus.

We will be adding to those measures today:

  • As of Monday, March 23rd at 5:00pm all of our locations will be temporarily reducing our office hours of operation to 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Location Office personnel will be half-staff and put on a rotating schedule where possible. In unison with our reduced office hours, grain operations will move to 8:00am to 5:00pm hours until further notice. Our Feed and Agronomy operations will continue to operate on our normal schedules. Stay abreast of any future changes in hours on our website.
  • We are temporarily closing our Ritter Office. The operations staff will still be available, but will only be receiving grain by appointment. To schedule your grain appointment, please call 712-324-5197.
  • As of Tuesday, March 24th, grain checks will no longer be available for pickup at any of our locations. Checks will be put in the mail the day the grain is sold, so please plan accordingly.
  • Our offices are now closed to all but ESSENTIAL customer business.

We are working very hard to ensure that our business can continue operating to meet the needs of our customer’s operations, your cooperation and understanding is appreciated. We will keep you updated as policies change in response to the changing COVID-19 situation.

FCS is following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for protecting against COVID-19. Find CDC guidelines here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html

Thank you for your business,
